We did release 1-2 updates each month. Update includes bug fixes, security fixes & new features. Update comes as a .zip file and contains update instructions. Updates steps are to backup web site files and database -> execute database update script (if any) then copy files.

Sometimes it is required to edit Skin files if we do changes listed bellow:
1- When we add new controls (templates). For exp. we may add "recently viewed items" control. To display it on product details page you will have:
1.1- copy skins.xse.config to \skins\<your skin>\store\
1.2- copy RecentlyViewedItems.ascx to \skins\<your skin>\store\templates\
1.3- edit \skins\<your skin>\store\displaydeatil.ascx and add:

2- When we extend control. For exp. we may add option to display numeric paging on category product list.
3- When bug is found in skin layout (html code) and fix requires to update .ascx template.
